Voltage Module 2-4S, XH

This module is extremely easy to use and cost effective. I personally find it nice to the per-cell monitoring of my battery while flying. It couldn't be any easier to connect, plugging right into the balance connector. I've only found two main downsides to the product. First, you will need to make sure there is room in your battery compartment for the sensor, or you will need a balance connector extension lead to move the sensor somewhere else. The bigger issue I have is related to the telemetry displays. I use a MZ-12, so my options for displays are limited. This shows as a general module, which means I see telemetry screens which are mostly filled with empty and invalid data. It is quite wasteful to see so many unpopulated values. I wish Graupner could better tailor the telemetry screens to each module that sell, but I understand that these screens are prebuilt in the radio and cannot be changed by the modules. It just seems a little hacky at first, especially if this is the only sensor on the bus. Overall, for the price it can't be beat. You get live monitoring and configurable voice readouts and alarms.

The voltage sensor in combination with my Transmitter MZ-24 does not allow me to program voltage Warning for total voltage. I have to program voltage Warning for one cell. For example I am using 3 cell LiPo, and instead of programming low voltage Warning to 9.9 volts, I have to program to 3.3 volts. If one cell is 3.2 and others 3.4, total is above 9.9 but one cell is below 3.3 and you will get a Warning. Some people may like it, I prefer total voltage. Voltage Module VM-80 gives total voltage. On positive side the 4 cell Voltage module I am reviewing in here is simpler to program compared to VM-80. Generally speaking programming low LiPo voltage Warning in Graupner Transmitters is very difficult compared to other brands. Not sure why Graupner is not changing the Telemetry setup to be simple just like the rest of the Transmitter. Setting up telemetry feels like using DOS system instead of Windows system.

What can say? They just work, and such a reasonable price. I have one for every model, and now I just alarm on voltage, no more timers. The only problem I had is they are setup for a 4 cell Lipo, and I use 3cell Lipos, but a few minutes work with a knife solved the problem.
